APPLICATION:

• Drainage – spread at the bottom of the pot to facilitate water drainage, preventing root rot.
• Soil loosening material – when added to the substrate, it loosens and aerates the soil, providing more space for proper root development.
• Mulching and insulating material – mulching the soil in the garden or pot retains moisture in the substrate, limits weed growth, and insulates the plant from the cold.
• Humidifier – spread a thin layer of expanded clay on trays, pour a small amount of water, and place them among pots with plants requiring high air humidity.
• Hydroponic cultivation – ideal for growing in water without using soil.
• Garden paths in waterlogged areas – expanded clay drainage prevents paths from becoming waterlogged or settling.
• Green roofs – very good drainage and thermal insulation help plants take root more firmly.
